Wild Canadian Chaga Chunks
Chaga has been traditionally enjoyed for generations as a deep, earthy forest tea. Our chaga chunks are kept in their natural form to preserve their character and allow for multiple infusions.
HARVESTED WITH LOVE
Our chaga is never cultivated. It is selectively harvested from live standing birch trees with care, helping preserve the tree and allowing the forest cycle to continue naturally.
Chi Chaga Organic Chaga Mushroom Chunks are made from wild Canadian chaga, carefully harvested, processed, and bagged by us to offer chaga in one of its purest and most natural forms. Known by its scientific name Inonotus obliquus, chaga is one of the most respected mushrooms in traditional wellness practices and has long been valued for its deep connection to northern birch forests.
At Chi Chaga, we preserve our chaga in chunks to help maintain its freshness, character, and rich forest taste. Unlike finely ground powders or instant drink mixes, chaga chunks remain closer to the natural form of the mushroom. This makes them ideal for people who enjoy preparing chaga the traditional way, slowly steeped or simmered into a deep, earthy tea.
We carefully process the whole chaga, including the dark exterior. This outer portion is naturally connected to the birch tree and contains compounds associated with birch, such as betulin. Chaga also naturally contains beta-glucans, betulinic acid, and a range of minerals, which is one reason it has earned its reputation as one of the most valued mushrooms in traditional forest wellness.
Because chaga grows naturally on birch trees, its origin matters. Wild Canadian chaga is valued for its connection to cold northern forests, where birch trees and chaga develop slowly over time. This natural relationship gives chaga its distinctive appearance, earthy flavour, and deep forest character. Chi Chaga chunks are naturally caffeine-free and can be enjoyed at any time of day. They can be prepared as a simple chaga tea, simmered longer for a stronger brew, or reused for multiple infusions. Many customers appreciate chaga chunks because they offer a more traditional preparation experience and allow the flavour to develop slowly in hot water.
Chaga chunks are a great choice for people who enjoy a slower, more intentional tea ritual. The preparation takes more time than chaga powder or tea bags, but it offers a rich and authentic way to experience wild Canadian chaga. The result is a smooth, earthy drink with a mild woody taste and a naturally grounding character.
Quality matters when choosing chaga chunks. Chaga products can vary widely depending on where the chaga comes from, how it is harvested, how it is dried, how it is cut, and whether the company is transparent about the product. Chi Chaga’s chaga chunks are made from wild Canadian chaga and reflect our commitment to quality, responsible sourcing, and careful preparation.
Because we harvest, process, and bag our chaga ourselves, we are able to maintain a direct connection to the product from forest to package. This hands-on approach is part of what makes Chi Chaga different. We are not simply repackaging anonymous mushroom material. We work closely with our chaga from the forest to the final product.
Our chaga chunks are especially appreciated by customers who want a clean, simple, and traditional format. They contain no caffeine, no artificial flavours, and no unnecessary additives. Just wild Canadian chaga, prepared in a form that respects the mushroom’s natural character. Whether you are new to chaga or already enjoy it as part of your daily wellness routine, Chi Chaga Organic Chaga Mushroom Chunks offer a natural and authentic way to prepare this remarkable forest mushroom. Rich, earthy, reusable, and deeply connected to Canadian birch forests, they remain one of the most traditional ways to enjoy chaga.
Chaga has been traditionally enjoyed for generations as a deep, earthy forest tea. Our chaga chunks are kept in their natural form to help preserve their character and allow for multiple infusions. Naturally caffeine-free, chaga can be simmered slowly or steeped to create a smooth, grounding drink with a rich forest taste.
Add a handful of chaga chunks to approximately 4 cups of water. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat and let the chaga steep or simmer for at least 10 minutes. For a stronger, darker tea, simmer longer.
Chaga chunks can often be reused for multiple infusions. After brewing, remove the chunks from the water and let them dry or store them properly before using them again. Continue brewing until the tea becomes lighter in colour and flavour.
Enjoy chaga tea warm on its own, or add honey, maple syrup, lemon, cinnamon, or your favourite natural sweetener. Chaga tea can also be cooled and served cold as a refreshing caffeine-free forest tea.
| Ingredient | 100% Wildcrafted Chaga Mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) |

| Directions | Bring to a boil a small handful in 4 cups of water and let it steep for 10 min. You can save the Chaga chunks in the refrigerator and re-infuse up to 3 times. We encourage this practice since wild Chaga is rare and it contains a vast amount of nutrients that can be extracted on multiple infusions. |

Found the Chaga I like finally!
I’ve tried a ton of different Chaga and I often get a weird taste or consistency with some. This is the one I’ll keep coming back to. I got the powdered kind first which was great for tea but I’ve been incorporating the chunked kind in my cooking and it’s perfect! I had read so much about the benefits but couldn’t get over a lot of the other product I tried. This is definitely the one!

Chaga is one of those products/herbs/remedies that is really starting to drip/funnel into the mainstream.
I guess in a way I jumped onto the Chaga train because of its growing popularity. I really do like the mission of this company, the way they deliver the product, and the advice and recommendations of how to prepare the tea. This company promotes re-use of the chaga chunks, to make sure you are getting the most out of each piece and to also make sure that we are not wasting or endangering the mushroom.
The tea is rich – especially when turned into a chaga-latte with nut milk and turmeric. I find that I get multiple uses out of each chunk, so the bag of chaga will last a while. The instructions are also straight forward. When I’m done brewing 1 – 2 chaga chunks for 2 minutes. I plop them into an airtight container and reuse them 4 – 5 times. If the brew is weak I add another piece in, but still try to maximize the use of each chaga piece.

Great product. Last a long time. The chaga can be refrigerated and used 2 or 3 times over again as they seem to retain their nutrients. Quality is as expected, this is my second time buying

Great tasting tea from chunks. Delicious hot or iced. No need to sweeten; but maple syrup blends well. Have used chunks at least three times; freeze in between.

The tea has a nice woodsy taste and feels like a good winter drink. I prefer brewing the chunks on the stove instead of just steeping them.
Dominique –
I’ve ordered chaga from a few places and this one feels more authentic. Nice size chunks, good colour when brewed, and no weird taste.
Jordan –
Arrived quickly and the bag was well packed. The chunks look clean and fresh. Makes a good cup of tea, especially if you let it brew slowly.

Rich forest taste and really nice chaga chunks. I simmered them for a while and got a dark, earthy tea. Good quality and I like that I can reuse the pieces a few times.

Very earthy, but in a good way. I add a little honey sometimes. Happy with the quality and would buy again.
